EARLY LIFE
Niall Horan, the only Irish member of One Direction, was born September 13th, 1993. Horan grew up in Mullingar, Ireland, being a part of school plays, school choirs, and performed at the Mullingar Arts Centre for a fundraiser. Niall’s mother and father divorced when he was young, so him and his older brother Greg, lived back and forth between their parents households’, before settling in with their father. Niall learned how to play guitar at a young age, and still plays today. X-FACTOR When Niall was sixteen in 2010, he auditioned for the X-Factor UK. He sang Ne-Yo’s So Sick and was accepted by the judges, moving on to the official competition. Once the judges eliminated Niall, he was called back to be put into a boy band with four other male contestants. Bandmates Liam Payne and Harry Styles, Niall was considered popular the contestants on the X-Factor, they said “Wherever Niall went, there was a guitar, loads of people, and everyone would be laughing.” AFTER X-FACTOR Along with bandmate Louis Tomlinson, Niall was not given many solo parts until the band’s second album Take Me Home. Horan has become more of a fan favorite over the past year, as well as Niall becoming more confident in interviews and to the media. Niall shows how proud he is of being Irish by posting multiple photos on Instagram of himself in Irish jerseys, Irish hats, Irish shirts and so on. In the past, Niall has been rumored to be romantically involved with singer Demi Lovato and model Barbara Palvin, but has denied both dating rumors. |
