Zayn malik
EARLY LIFE Zayn Malik (born Zain Javvad Malik) was born January 12th, 1993 and grew up in Bradford, England. He comes from both an English and Pakistani descent, his father being Pakistani and mother being English. He grew up with one older sister and two younger sisters. Malik went to Lower Fields Primary School and Tong High School. Along with the other One Direction members, Zayn auditioned for the X-Factor U.K . X-FACTOR Zayn auditioned for the X-Factor in 2010, when he was seventeen. The song he sang was rhythm and blues vocalist Mario’s Let Me Love You, but he altered the song to suit his voice better. Zayn was accepted into the next round, but was eliminated after performing during “boot-camp”. Malik was put into a group with the other members of One Direction, and got voted off and came in third place. During the X-Factor, Zayn was rumored to be dating fellow contestant Rebecca Ferguson, who ended up winning the X-Factor. AFTER X-FACTOR After the X-Factor, Zayn is frequently seen as the “Bad Boy” in the group by the media. This could be because of his many tattoos, having an ear-piercing, and having the habit of smoking cigarettes. Malik could also be seen far from a bad boy, by constantly donating to charities, and bandmate and friend Harry Styles says he “wears his heart on his sleeve”. Zayn is also known to have possibly the strongest voice out of One Direction, because he is given the most high notes and notes that involve a stronger voice. Currently, Malik is engaged to Perrie Edwards, who is in a British girl group called Little Mix. The couple has been dating since May 2012, and announced their engagement in August 2013. |
